Fri, 09/04/2009 - 5:58pm
Pigs enjoy their bath in a mud pool in Kleringen in Eastern Netherlands on August 19, 2009. Biological farmers Joop and Marianne Hendriksen in Fleringen won the 'mud-trophy' for the most beautiful mud pool from the organisation Wakker Dier (alert animal). The organisation launched the yearly mudd pool election to promote biological pork.
If you say so.

biological pork
So what is "biological pork", you ask? Isn't all pork biological?
It's apparently a new marketing gimmick. The "go big for bio" movement is intended to counter the recent "mad cow" alert and other forms of food poisoning. B.P. meets the requirements both of the biological certification standards agency and of the biological certification bureau of the “QAI Quality Assurance International” which is recognized world wide. B.P. is sold in places like the “Whole Foods Market.”
The Traceability Program, the official loop followed by B.P, "respects the animal, its living environment, its development, its processing and the general environment prevailing throughout the pork farming network".
Sorry, I'm not convinced and will continue to be a vegetarian.
Damn, those pigs look familiar --
it's mikely and BillyO!
